I hope that 2013 continue to be a wonderful year and becoming a memorable year with many wedding celebration in my family including our own wedding in September :)
I will share the highlight of 2012. I will try to keep this brief and simple! :)
Jan 2012 :
Our New year trip to HKG and Macau.
Feb 2012:
Our 2nd anniversary together. We had been saying that 2012 will be the year we get married. But, to be frank, this is the time where I start to wonder if we will ever get married with the current state. But time has prove me wrong.
Mar 2012:
I am engaged! isn't it dramatic change from all the doubt I had in mind just 1 month ago. The engagement was insane, my bf wasn't even planned for it until a couple hours before. Yeap, doesn't sound romantic I know. haha, but still, I appreciate him and His time.
As I shared before, I was in doubt that we can ever get married with our current financials, and he was sharing the same doubt. Instead of keep on worry (and whine like I do), he decided at 5 PM to go to Frank & Co and buy an engagement ring. Without me knowing, he suddenly said that he's coming to see me at home. Yes, I wore t-shirt and short pants, and it happened in my house's guest room -__-". I remember he said to me "I know time is not right for any wedding, but I am thinking to take a leap of faith, to show that I have a good intention and I want to marry you. And hoping that it will come true soon". and what was my reaction? (while laying on the bed - grasakan style ya, not a princess laying on the bed style), I simply said "why don't you kneel down? and where's my ring?" hahaha -__-" I didn't expect that he will give me anything (sorry bf, I didn't know that you can be romantic too). But when he showed me the ring, I was speechless. He meant it! so finally, I accepted his proposal and we are happily engaged for 9+ months now and our wedding is in 9 months. God is good, isn't He?
Apr 2012:
Most memorable happenning during this month is the baptism of my parents :) My parents have 7 children from 42 years old to youngest 27 years old. I am number six! :) all of the 7 sibilings is christian, and we have been longing for all of us as a family unite and worship the same God. The prayer has been started since early 1990s. It eventually came true on April where both my parents decided to be baptized.
May 2012:
May is a memorable month for 3 things : 1. period where I stayed at office until almost midnight everyday incl. working during weekends (you suck, GPS!!%^!~$!! haha) and 2. my first trip to France, Swiss and Italy! Some of you might have read part of the trip in old post and 3. Bf got a new job! this is a dramatic change that makes all the wedding preparation commenced! Super Thank You God!
June 2012:
June, don't remember alot of happening except that the GPS issue continue. Hence, still working late and working on weekend. But now, I have additional 18 days of leave from all the overtime! insane. Donno how am I going to spend it all
July 2012:
Mostly spent on home design of what-we-thought-would-be-our-future-home. haha, a very strange one, no? All along we have been thinking that we will stay at BSD (partially owned by bf with fam) until we can buy our own house in city (BSD is too far). So, we spent time thinking of how to renovate and what kind of house we want it to be.
But eventually, a single visit from my dad can change many things. He visited the house while we weren't there and said "i don't think that you can live in a house as small as a birdcage and a place too far away from anywhere. You can't even drive". So, finalnya adalah teng tereteng.... kita akan beli rumah yg uda 1/2 kepemilikan di Gading Serpong. Nah karena kita kontrakin rumah itu 3 tahun sampe 2015, kita tinggal di rumah lama ku yg kosong di area grogol. Blessing banget, karena ini akan simplify banyak hal untuk preparation wedding, on top of, ga membuat kita harus menggelontorkan banyak biaya untuk persiapan wedding. Thank God.

Aug 2012:
Lebaran di Surabaya and few days getaway to Singapore. There's one major happening with is the proposal between future-groom parents to future-bride parents. This is one of the tradition in Asia, and should be counted as one major event prior marriage. But then, I dont know when it was happening, while it was such a BIG event haha. I suspect that it happenned sometime in August. I asked my bf and he doesn't know too! haha.. we are a very casual and happy-go-lucky couple (a.k.a crazy). It was a 2 hour dinner in restaurant nearby and his mom, aunt and uncle propose and give me a necklace. The "speech" itself from his aunt is
Sep 2012:
We start planning for a wedding reception, including budgetting and expectations. In comparison to our initial budget (budget version 1) to our current (budget version 5), budget version 5 is 171% higher than budget version 1. Bravo!! -___-"
Oct 2012:
We bought a house, well I mean officially through mortgage haha. but we can't live in that house as we are renting it until 2015.
Nov 2012:
Wedding preparation. This month is all about visiting wedding vendor and venue. You can read all the review in previous posts.
Dec 2012:
Uneventfull december :( sadly, this december is the most uneventful one, no bad things, but there's no surprise or usual joyful december. blame it to work! blame it to stress haha. It's not a bad one though because of series of blessings to bf. So still thank GOD!
as a closure of 2012, it has been a wonderfull year and a year full with blessing. I can't thank God enough. So thank You, Jesus. Your name be lifted high :) Through the good and bad in 2013, I will keep praising Your name.
